Thanks to Baby windows less Babies Found Dead in Switzerland

Since the opening of the first baby window at Einsiedeln Hospital on 9 May 2001, the number of babies found dead in Switzerland has fallen significantly. This is the conclusion reached by the operators of the baby windows on the basis of an analysis of all known cases since 1996.

The investigation includes all known cases of babies found dead (killed), abandoned or delivered. Time intervals of five years each were compared. Since the first baby window was put into operation in 2001, the number of babies found dead has fallen significantly. Baby window operators attribute this positive development at least in part to the existence of baby windows.
