Congratulations on the birth of your baby! Likely driven by great despair, you placed your child in the baby window in Olten. We understand that this was a difficult decision for you to make and would like to confirm that your actions today do not make you liable for prosecution.

You have the right to claim your child back until an adoption order has been enforced. Adoption may take place no earlier than one year after the child is placed in our care. The Swiss Aid for Mother and Child (SAMC) foundation, Tel. 0800 811 100 (calls are free), helpline@shmk.ch, will provide you with the financial and social assistance you need free of charge, so that you can have a future together with your child. You can get advice from a counsellor, anonymously if you wish. We are always here for you! Please get in touch with us. All conversations are treated in the strictest confidence.

Please also remember to look after yourself and your own health. Giving birth without medical assistance can bear risks. Please consult a qualified doctor. If you need to consult a doctor free of charge, please get in touch with the Swiss Aid for Mother and Child foundation. They will provide you with all the help you need.
